Graffiti is not the lowest form of art. People who run cities and governments don`t understand graffiti because they think nothing has the right to exist unless it makes a profit, which makes their opinion worthless.

Yeah, it`s the stereotypes of graffiti that are generated by this sort of video that are ruining people`s views on it. Graffiti is a respected art form among the art scene, but not when it`s sole intent is vandalism. There are a bunch of people out there that do graffiti on canvases, legal walls, advertisements etc. and that is what the future of graffiti should be.

When a writer does a permission wall, its looks like nice and all, but this is were that piece comes from w/o tagging and bombing, there are no nice looking pieces. Plus writers have to support their name on the street if they want a permission wall to last, so you cant go half ass and say "i only like the pretty stuff", you gotta either like it all or think its shit because who is set to decide whether is beautiful or not and whether it should or shouldn`t be allowed/considered art, if u like the piecing you better know it all starts with throw ups n tags.

oh, you guys should check out `graffiti research labs`. they find ways of expressing themselves through graffiti without ruining property. they do stuff like use projectors and lasers to write on entire buildings, and nothing is damaged when they are done.

the tag "CANO" you see at 3:33; 3:34 is nearly everywhere in nyc from queens to manhattan to some parts of brooklyn. i see his tag on the courts when i go play basketball and on the buses and trains keyed into the windows.
