It's pretty neat how a completely cartoony mask like that could evoke such a reaction.

I knew these two sisters who had a friend stay over one night when they were in junior high. They had a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Michael Jackson from his "Bad" album, and they placed it in their bathroom with the lights off before their friend came by.

Later on, when she went into the bathroom, they heard her screeching "Oh my god there's some man in the bathroom! Help!"

Why is it so funny to scare people?
