As a San Antonio Texan, I dont trust a New Yorker making a "top notch Margarita". Mexican food to Texas is like Indian food to England, we make it better than their native countries.

True cocktails e.g. natural and real ingredients, original combinations - are all the rage in Manhattan.

^^ True - best margaritas are probably made where the agave is grown (Tequila, Mexico), but if ur a tourist in Mexico, the chances you get a real margarita (and not a frozed knock-off version) at one of the tourist joints is lower than getting a damn-good mix from a knowledgeable genuine barmaster.
