I agree with you, Flying, that racism is retarded... but it's not remotely limited to the US, unfortunately. It'd be wonderful if it was, would make the world simple. But that's not how it is. There's racism, hate, race fueled murder and genocide, going on in various and sundry places all over the world right now. The US has it's share and more of racism and general stupidity, which is sad, given it's resources and power... but it's not the worst country for racism by far.


As for the "now wash ur hands" comment, I honestly didn't read it as racist. I think it was because they just touched every last part of a subway car :P

I could be wrong, but I didn't read it that way.

If I did that, trust me, I'd go wash my hands too.

as wrong as it is to hate an entire race for some supposed action taken in war times or terrorism or whatever, nothing makes me sadder than unfounded race hate (ie based on bullshit nonsense reasoning like some of the above posts. Oh, he's a black guy. He must be bad. TV told me so and I'm too stupid to filter out the crap it often spews). Cobra_Commander is right - you find it all over the world. The only reason we all focus on the race hate currently coming from some parts of America is because, usually, people with the capacity for abstract thought are intelligent enough to realize not only that a third of the world hates America but that this is not a desirable situation. It therefore stands to reason that there are two paths to choose: shout la-la-la-la-la all day and only stop when Fox news comes on(seems a popular choice atm). The second option is to address the issues which lead to such feelings of hate, and attempt to find a middle ground. The west as a whole has been dramatically changing the lives of others for a very long time, wether through war, commerce, or simple greed. It's about time we were prepared to move an inch or two ourselves. The world is a lot smaller than it used to be. Get over it, and get on with the rest of your lives.
