Always thought the actor who portrayed Captain Archer brought down the series. Now T'Pol on the other hand...she can vulcan nerve pinch me anyday.

yea, Archer ruined star trek. He tried to imitate Kirk, but he imitated the bad acting, not the character style.

I think his main problem as an actor was that he played in Quantum Leap for so long that he got used to that character and has a problem doing anything else.

I think you are right too though h0ser. Maybe it was a combination of things that just made him not be able to portray the part as well as it could have been done. :(

Scott Bacula is a decent actor.. The real reason enterprise went downhill is because of the scripting.. They brought the ferengi in too early, introduced photon torpedos way too early. They tried to progress the show too far ahead too soon.
