Always wear mechanics gloves when u are working on a car. Special if you are going to use air powered tools. This happened when a guy backed out a nut with a impact gun and as the gun went backward it jammed his finger between the gun and a sharp edge of a mounting bracket. It caused a fracture of the tip of the finger, cut down to the bone, and of course the fingernail and connective tissue damage u see.
