to look cut, you have to starve yourself, basically lowering your calorie intake, burn the fat you have by exercising, then muscles start to show, but only fags and the unemployed have time to keep track of what they eat

^ u can take "lean mass" supplements it gives u cuts by tightening skin and muscle. Not a fan of abs though, its just really usefull for the beach and picking up chicks, some guys in my class have ripped abs, but are weak as hell.

definition is all about body fat. you could do a million situps a day with a high percentage of body fat and never see any definition.

proconsul is correct, from my understanding your body fat has to be below 6% to show a six pack, which basically just comes down to genetics. However you shouldnt give a shit about your body definition but focus on your bodies functional strength.

^wrong, its 10% body fat to show any abs, and the only thing genetics determines is how fast your body loses fat and how it reacts to different excercises. Everyone can have abs.

If you want to show your abs do alot of cardio, in fact ab excercises should be the one of the least things you do in your workout. To speed up fat loss work out all major muscle groups (pecs, back, legs) because the bigger these muscles are the faster your metabolism works, letting you burn calories and fat even when your asleep.

But yes, cardio is essential, all these fancy ab excercises and gimmicks are just a scam because they promote the myth of "spot reduction" which means burning fat only in a certain part of the body.

^it's not 10% body fat either, it depends on genetics and muscle mass. I have 12-15% body fat and defined abs. Cardio does helps with reducing body fat, but doing ab exercises makes the muscles larger so they are more defined and visible.

I doubt this video was made to help anyone with six packs. The exercises shown are serious core workouts that enhance the performance of any athlete, gymnists, etc.. not for some dude at the beach to sit in the sun and show off his six pack.
