Kim Peek has always fascinated me, I mean, who wouldn't be by a guy who can read one page of a book with one eye while reading the other page with his other eye. Great clip, should upload the rest of the documentary.

The problem is although people who have this condition can memorize to a superhuman level, they cannot understand what they memorize. They can memorize the entire books of knowledge and recall what they read, but they cannot appreciate or understand the level of complexity of the written content.

i think putting people into mental wards and letting them rot away so to speak, is such a waste..no dr. can tell how a person is going to turn out later in life by looking at them as a small child..
