That Twix advert is quite possibly the lamest advert I have ever seen.

Dove advert was good though. Props for truth.

i have mixed feelings about this.

- yeah, chicks these days have to stop thinking they have to be someone they are not.
- but why is dove (who is like one of the biggest beauty companies in the world, who are guilty of making chicks feel like this) doing a comercial on something quite the opposite of what they are trying to make money out of?

I htink they are actually realizing that its going to be the truth that sells soon. And its about time someone(namely a big company) stood up and took their lashes for making people feel this way about themselves, then go and try to reverse this viscious cycle. I think its a great add... its true which makes it a definate seller.

let's be open to different perspectives here:

the guy can't think of 1 thing wrong with his appearance

hayley can think of 12 things wrong with him.

or not..

do we have any girls' opinions about this?

What crap, amazing how people can be emotionally sucked in by the exact same marketing this ad is claiming to speak against. Many women have no serious issues with how they look in fact it is often the opposite with tubby tramp stamped females acting like they are the best thing since sliced bread. Frankly a little "I am too fat" is better than the "I am perfect" attitude most people have now a days. Ever since the 90s introduced the "your perfect the way you are" trend, everyone and their dog have been happy to be fat, stupid, lazy and all of the above. A little modesty would be healthy at this point.

its kind of ironic how dove has pleanty of photoshopped and digitally enhanced comercials and ads showing how if you use dove you will look like them,

Good, finally 1 good company promoting self-confidence vs. a sea of Asshole Companies that only care about Selling no matter the price

she probably went out on a date with a bully who took the boy's lunch money thus she could buy some dove.

I don't really think that soap is a beauty supply...not in the traditional sense at least.

Great add and fantastic advertisement!
I watched a short clip about a girl with anorexia nervosa where it just shows a mirror and the audience is looking into the mirror and all you can see is a perfectly normal girl standing there in her underwear and you think to yourself 'whats up with this ad?', then the camera zooms out and you see the actual girl standing there, bones protruding through her skin, no muscle, almost a skeleton covered in a thin layer of flesh, and you come to realise that in the eyes of an anorexic, the reflection of the girl that we saw as perfectly normal is to them obese, and reaching 'normality' to them is impossible as they will always see themselves as overweight and imperfect...until they die.
5/5 to Dove for spreading the truth about true beauty
