I cant play this game, its way to slow. Fortress forever is a much better sequel to team fortress classic. I played the beta version for this and the 1.0 release of fortress forever and i cant even compare the two, FF is sooooo much better.

BTW: we already got some conc and trick jumping maps for FF, if you have steam, dl ff and come jam =)

I love people like you in-game who constantly whinge about not having conc-jumping and grenades, and complain about it being so much slower (movement is, map pace isn't) yet you still get schooled.

Stop bantering people with your pointless intellectual high-horse shit because you think you're better than everyone else at 'the series' because you played TFC 8 years ago. 99% of people don't care and will continue to play TF2 because it's a polished and well made game, unlike FF.

I played and loved TF and TFC, so I'm pretty excited for this. I love the look they're going for with it as well. My only problem is going to be tearing myself away from Halo 3, but, whaddya do?

eh its alright but they changed way to many things to be called tf2....it's more or less a hl2 mod with revamped tfc maps....and honestly the maps are a little to confuusing to. I was a big tfc fan yes and I find that a lot of the timing and skill that was involved was removed from the game. As for sniper they changed the most important part of it, which was letting go of the trigger to fire....I seriously think im using a scout instead. The charactors seem to move blazingly fast compared to tfc again another similarity of hl2 bc of how you kill someone. Sentry guns are overpowered as well as the scout that can run around an hw guy and kill him with 3 hits of his bat. Overall I think its a good game it just doesnt deserve the title of Team Fortress...No infections by medics, no concs, no nades....3 weapons per charactor...gets old fast....

First off, all's i was saying was that i perfer fortress forever to team fortress 2. I dont play tf2, so when someone is on the server your on and starts whining about no concs, no grens, etc, it wont be me.

I will be playing the vastly superior ff, made by people who play tfc, not people who want more money than they deserve cuz they turned a quake-mod into a franchise. (thats me on my high-horse btw)

Yeah i played tfc eight years ago, i was still playing it last week. They removed bhop, and i still played. they nerfed the concs, and i still played. They patched, tweaked, and put goddamn bots everywhere, and i still fucking played. Ive clanned, guiled and scrimed through all those 8 years, and yet i still fucking play it.

So you have a preferance as to which you like better, good for you for voicing it, i did the same. But if you feel your point is soo weak you have to resort to flaming ppl, well, perhaps you should re-evaluate your position.

I hardly think I flamed you, I just harshly analyzed exactly what you and hundreds of other 'veterans' to the Team Fortress series seem to be spurting around the place.

So you played TFC for eight years, I'm not going to call you a loser or a nerd, I'm not that immature, but talk about clinging on to something you think you're good at. No wonder you don't like TF2, you're afraid of change because you have to start off on a more level playing field.

Fortress Forever looks shit, I was a TFC fan back in the day when Half-Life and Q3 reigned as the supreme online/LAN FPS games, and I'm still not going to bother with it.

I guarantee without a doubt, if they released the tf2 gameplay 8 years ago and then released what you class as the 'clearly superior' FF/TFC gameplay style with concussion grenades and infections and obviously faster gameplay, you would cling to TF2.

I come from a generation who's too immersed in bills and salary to keep up with the times in games.

But all I can say is that I have a lot of admiration for gamers who have skill and abilities to do crazy un-intended tricks in games.

and I have an equal amount of admiration for those who adhere to principles and style of play intended by the developers as I belong to this category of player.

Just because someone likes to "conc-jump" and use grenades in a certain way doesn't make them a dick. They just like different things.

Games have progressed to the point where people have much more choice in how they play so we as gamers need to accept that and learn to find people who like to play the way we do and respect those who don't.

Stop acting like playing a certain way makes you better than someone else. It's fuckin moronic .

Debating that TFF or TF2 is better is impossible because TF2 has a style that isn't TF. They redesigned the whole thing in a completely different way the TF or TFF is but kept the main gameplay rules of TF. Eventually, valve are gonna start messing around with the settings because millions of fucktards are gonna mail spam them saying that it's too hard or it's fucking nonsense and end up fucking up by listening to the majority of the noobs.

Do what I do, pirate, try and buy. Don't like, don't buy.

(IMO demos are a piece of shit cuz they show you only what you like and not what you should see)
