dude you can't just grab cops....no one can. I've see 90 yr old freaks who want to go out with a bang do shit like that. probably used more force than needed, but not necessarily out of bounds.

The problem with empowering people to use force is that they tend to use force at the expense of all else (the old "when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" problem).

Well, this PIG has all the skill of a hammer.

Yeah, maybe the old woman was a pain. Maybe she was IN pain and trying to get his attention.

No, it really isn't a good idea to touch a cop. But the cop is supposed to be the PROFESSIONAL, here. He has a higher moral duty to use force only when every other option has been exhausted.

NOT as the first resort.

This cop should probably be in jail, or at least in a job where he doesn't interact with other living things.

Plain & simple, Instinct's took over. While I don't condone knocking out an elderly lady, the officer did what he was trained to do in that given situation, it appeared to be a person reaching for the holster. IMO, sound judgement was required.

Why should the cop have to fuck around for 20 minutes trying to get her to stop? Look at the video. He shoved her off, then she came back and grabbed him, then he obviously told her to back off. Then she came back AGAIN grabbing him. She is damn lucky she got those verbal and physical warnings to begin with. Anybody else would have been eating pavement the second they opened the door without the cop's instructions.

You keep doing that he's going to make is point and knock you the fuck out. She did it to herself.

She was just a doddery old woman. She wasn't assaulting the cop she was just shoeing him out the way and trying to close the door.
What he did was criminal. It's a clear case of a roid head acting in a calous way. He deserves not only to lose his job but to be prosecuted.
