I broke my femur in football. It didnt hurt at the time of the break, probably with all the adrenaline and everything but when the docter had to pull my leg straight so he could line the bone up, the pain was insane. I have a Titanium rod now but only 2 pins total. They say its the hardest bone to break...

It does take a long time to heal and retrain your leg back to its normal strength again. I was able to go back to football the next year and squat 2x my weight though.
