Is sentencing someone to a life sentence really less cruel than than simply killing them? If the idea is to protect society then prison is a cruel and inefficient way of doin that. On top of the fact that it has become a business. Prisons have been around for at least 1000 yeahs; probably since crime began, and yet crime still exists....maybe we need to find a new way.

^ yeah....and how is complaining on the net is going to do anything about it? Yeah sure, you're informing the people but thats all you doing. If you really want to do something go to your city coun., your MLA, your MP..heck complain to Stephen Harper about it!
