Freemasonry is no more a diabolical "cult" than the Shriners or the Lions Club.

All of the smoke and mirrors designed to make people paranoid about Freemasonry is meant to distract from the *real* cults, the ones that are right there in the open, the religious fundamentalists who want to convert every last soul to their superstition.

All the conspiracy theories about "cults" and "one world government" pale in comparison to real cults like Catholics and Evangelical Christians. As Iv'e said before, the very reason those folks get all up in arms about "cults" is because they don't want any competition from those in their own aspirations towards one-world-Christian domination.

I agree klavlav, however within the Masonic Order, there are several factions. I'm not aware of them all, but I am pretty sure that within the highest ranks of the Order, members are using religion as a wedge. They use the cloud of religion to achieve their goals. Making you think that it's about a one-world-Christian government. When in actuality it's about totalitarianism and facism. And yes, Catholicism has been the most cultlike of all religions, responsible for over 50,000,000 deaths world-wide. Including involvement in the Holocaust.

If you want truth about freemasons in the 1700 read war and peace. They were a mixture of pretentious aristocrates and idealists. They did join looking to be part of some underground group that made them better than other aristocrates, but many found that adherance to organization's idealist base (i.e. equality of men) to be the very thing that set them apart from their fellow aristocrates and OTHER FREEMASONS. The richest man in russia during the napolionic wars was in dispair and became a feemason. Then he, to show he was in keeping with freemason ideals, freed many surfs and gave away land to them. But later found that other higher ranking members weren't doing such things. He found the helping of the poor more rewarding than being a member of the order. So, freemason's ideals aren't bad many just don't adhere to them. Its analogous to the american government. Our constitution is great, we just DON'T FOLLOW IT.

WAKEupB4its2L8 Your dead on So many people are under the impression that these groups are working towards a one world government with christian ideals but in actuallity there simply using religion in order to get the mass population behind them since the majority of the worlds and americas population are self professed christians its nothing more than a smoke screen and sadly the majority of christians have fallen for it.
Does the public really think people like george bush and dick cheney are actual christians of course there not they could care less about jesus christ all they care about is being able to gain the support of the blind christian masses.
Im sure theyll just say that is just leftist propaganda but the sad fact is its the Damn Truth and no one wants to admit it.

klavlav you are one confused cookie, ok we get rid of religion what then? you think that's going to change the world into becoming a better place? Ok read christianity at its source, or better yet learn what Jesus represented, no money, no greed, no war etc... but he also said "the worst will hide behind my name" Ok another thing what did christianity do to you? Let's say for instance I work for Unicef and one day the press catches me selling donated food , what I just did , is it what Unicef represents because of my actions does the cause have to end for Unicef, that's what we do we never blame the individual, we blame the whole purpose.

Let's play a game.
Its called who to blame.

Hunger - Look at Forbes 100 and tell who to blame.
War - Look at politicians and tell me who to blame.
Murder, Rape, Pedophilia etc.. - Look at family values and tell me who to blame.

The answer: US as in humans.

If we as individuals came together and worked together we can create a Utopia we have the power to do so , everything is right in front of us, the manpower, resources etc.. but greed, power and money will make you do bad things.

We always look for someone to blame but we are so self centered that we never blame ourselves, its sad and I feel sorry that we keep pointing our fingers when we should be turning them against ourselves.

Look at George Bush he has to be one of the dumbest if not the dumbest guy in a suit but yet he can get most of the population to vote for him, there seems to be a confusion what type of people vote for him, I have met Athiest as well as christians that voted for him but since most Americans are fanatics of the baptist and evagelist churches they use that to their advantage and the word God can be heard more then others because hey that's the majority , I never heard of Jesus picking up a sword and saying we will make people convert by the sword or start a war.

tnt, I agree. However, most of the populace didn't vote for him. Go to my profile and check out my uploads section. Watch the video titled, "Oh Bush, we knew it wasn't true" And no, Jesus didn't pick up a sword to force people into Christianity. However, Christians have. And that's why we have the United States of America as well as Canada. ;)

Your right but then we are going deeper into conspiracy theory's, Christians, sorry real Christians have never had to weld a sword but to defend its land, Armenians, Greeks they were christians and were betrayed by the Catholic church when the Ottoman's captured Constantinople, the Pope, the bishop and his nuns are fake , the church system is a joke I am still am christian , why? because I stand by what Jesus said and if you read any of the stuff he says makes pretty good sense to this day. Now about freemasons, I had a friend that married an accountant who's father was a higher up freemason, divorced his wife cause of it, he changed ever since never found out what made him leave the country, its not a cult its more them that ,the Catholic church is know for their part in the Order and no we are not talking about Skulls and Bones we are talking about the invisibles , there is people in this world that are unseen and have more power then you can imagine, money is not power, control is power, the system is so complex that theory's have to be made same as science because the facts are not present in the end everyhing becomes so blurred and mixed up, by doing so I think there mission to be secretive is working.

1. Tim Cummins = was not a Congressman.
2. That place looked more like a small town council board.
3. Technically, the AARP influences the government as well. So if we were to hear a group of these guys talking about them, would it be admission to a senior citizen cult? The Masons are full of rich people, just like any other special interest group. Of course they're going to want to use their money to make things better for themselves.
4. This video fails.

TNT:

I studied for the priesthood for a number of years. I would say I *was* confused, but no longer. Life has become so much easier since I abandoned superstition; either the superstition of religion, or the superstition of the global "conspiracy theory".

Not that there aren't "conspiracies". There are. But they are no more complicated than the age-old desire of those in power to stay in power, and those without it to get it.

And to be clear, I would never say we need to get rid of all religion (I don't think I've said that in any of my posts).

What I do argue is that we abandon any ideology that claims sole ownership of The Truth. Go do Your Thing, whatever Your Thing may be. And let me do mine. But no one should ever be allowed to legislate or discriminate anyone else's Thing out of existence as long as it doesn't demonstrably affect you.

Oh, and just for the record, in Luke 19:26-27, Jesus does actually use a parable in which he clearly seems to advocate killing those who go against His Rule. Too, there are *numerous* passages in the Gospels where he goes out of his way to state that he is in no way contradicting older Jewish Law (indeed, he claims to be its very manifestation) and those laws of course included the exhortation to butcher one's enemies. A=B=C.

Finally, Jesus himself states that you will know The Truth of a belief through the conduct of its believers. And Christians have the dubious distinction of having some of the worst manners of any believers on the planet (followed closely by the other believers of Jehova, Jews and Muslims).

That's why, when I do feel in a spiritual or religious mood, I tend to gravitate towards Tao-ism or Zen.

Or I just go watch an episode of Carl Sagan's Cosmos and smoke a bowl on the beach. Pretty much the only "church" I need.

TNT, they may not have wielded a sword to defend their land, but they sure as shit have wielded them to take land.

Klavlav, I would refer to the attempts at a realization of a one world government more of a fact than theory. The definition of conspiracy is "the act of conspiring together" which usually means 2 or more people who plan and/or act. The term, conspiracy theory, has garnered such a negative stigma due to negative media attention and usually those accused don't address the accusations but instead refer to them as "crazy" and "conspiracy theorists." The facts are there and if one were to pay attention to the full picture and implications of such accusations, one would be a fool to deny the truth. (Sorry, I forgot about your second paragraph. I'll leave it in though just for shits and giggles.)

I agree with you on the religious front though. Any organization that claims to be the sole possessor of absolute Truth in the world/universe should be ignored. I feel that if your religion, whatever it may be, causes you to be a better human being, then by all means keep believing. I however will choose a more buddhist route with a bit of Hare Krishna thrown in. I don't know much about Taoism, and maybe I'll look into it. And just FYI, your views on religion mirror those of Masons who seek elightenment. Which is what the Order was all about. As I stated earlier, different factions within The Order ignore such principles.
