The movie + book was very big in England, but didn't follow the same commercial success in North America.

I watched this film when I was a child. I'm pretty sure it played some role in the shaping me in to the kind of person I am today. I just bought the DVD and book off of eBay, bargain.

Sorry for the double post, but it's worth mentioning. Who would have thought Disney could be so brutal? Also, I love the moral implications within the film.
