This one time at band camp, this ninja, he tried to stop a bullet but he died. It didn't work.

Of course you can't deflect a bullet unless you catch it with your chest :)

Swatting the bullet was a waste of time. I think being unable to catch a arrow proves more than enough that you cannot swat a bullet away.

how can someone not be able to catch an arrow when others can swat an arrow with a katana... swatting a bullet is possible if the guy is in the middle of a highly acute perceptive adrenaline rush
