I've had one lucid dream, it's more than most people get so I'm thankful.

I was eight at the time. I made freinds with the alligator that had been chasing me up the stairs for the past 20 nightmares, and then I spent hours flying around like superman, I had all his powers.

I had one when I was about 12. I don't know how it happened but I realized I was dreaming and then I started to get that creepy "Uh oh it's about to turn to a nightmare" feeling and forced my eyelids open.

I have a card in my wallet, that reads "If you can read this, your NOT dreaming!" You can't read print accuratly when your dreaming, so this helps let me know whats real and whats not..

I often have dreams where i know I am asleep, and the first thing I check is my card. If I can't read it, then yes, it's a dream... pity most time i end up dreaming about work...

Train your mind for it.. trust me, purchase a book about taking over dreams. It's amazing. I'm 22 now, since I was about 14 I've been able to control all of my dreams.. it's fun as shit!

As far as this movie.. it's great but it just pissed me off! I've had most of the conversations within the film myself.. The film reminded me of some stupid kid trying to hard!

I've had several lucid dreams...and, yes, I have been able to read signs in my dreams. The first few, I would test my dream state by flying. Upon confirmation, I would then resist waking up while I quickly explored my dream world. Not waking up is pretty hard to do, actually, so they rarely last more than a minute or two...though once I returned to a lucid dream after a brief waking.

Now what do I do with my lucid dreams? Salma Hayek showing up in my dream wasn't lucid...but what we did next was! So fucking cool!

Some people are able to go lucid but others can't. I had an old friend tell me about them and started trying it out. For a time I was able to go lucid almost at will but lately too much stress in life I can't let go. For me the trigger was seeing my hand. If I could focus on my hand in a dream my mind realized that I was dreaming and at that point you could take control. Once you have control you can change your dream to anything, talk to anyone alive or dead, go anyplace and do anything. One of the most peaceful transitions when lucid was being in a forested area with a lake just on the horizon. I would be traveling down a winding road, notice my hands on the steering wheel and enter a lucid state leave my vehicle and fly over the tree tops and over the water on the lake. Would always wake up fully rested and in a peaceful state after that one.

You can also "program" your dreams as well. As you go to bed relax and control your breathing. Start relaxing your body like your doing self hypnosis. Once you start feeling "limp" think about what you want to dream about. Focus on it and as you fall asleep you will actually end up doing or going where ever you where thinking of before you drifted off to sleep.

Oh and for the guy above me one way to stay in a lucid state is to constantly check your trigger. If thats looking at a clock, reading a sign, seeing your hand whatever it is keep looking for that trigger when your lucid and you can stay in a lucid state. You just have to keep convincing yourself that you are in a dream by looking for your trigger off and on.

This movie is much better than scanner darkly. It is much more original especially in drawing. It is also really interesting to listen and comprehend the conversations.

The dude with the jacket is the coolest charicter in the whole movie.

The style of filiming is called "Roto-vision" where they have artists draw over the frames. Way too cool.

It would be fun if we could somehow create a device to automatically trigger lucid dreaming (even when we are not asslep), or control what we dream about. If someone can somehow control this, it could revolutionise the way we think about gaming. Imagine being able to be IN a game. No tv, no sound system, only your imagination; yet it would be far more realistic than any HD xbox360 games we have ever played...it may seem science-fictioney, but I think it could definitely happen in the future.

It could sorta be like that episode in Futurama when they log onto the internet.

ugh i wanna do this SO bad!
ive only had 1 lucid dream, and at the time i never knew you could control them, so i just woke myself up.
recently i had a dream with alien caterpillars crawling around everywhere. i screamed to myself "this HAS to be a dream!!!" but it felt so realy that i couldnt wake myself up and it never turned lucid
