I dunno man...how do they know it was rabid? I felt sorry for the thing, it was obviously injured after he booted it...I would have just taken the dog inside and waited for it to leave on it's own first.

i remember one time there was a possum out side in the yard thing was acting crazy just snarling and biting the air, our dogs wanted to kill it so bad there was no way i would let those two go at it i shot the animal and yes it was rabid, i felt real bad for killing the animal but they tell the public to stay away or kill the animal if its still in the area there had been bites toward children in our area.

don't look for trouble. It entered the dog's pen on it's
own. That's why people get bitten. Although it looked
