some ppl have said it was staged, but it looked pretty genuine to me.

plus ross and flav aren't that good of actors.

what i don't get is that jeff's roast wasn't even that bad compared to some of the other comics. i think it may have been the "uncle tom" reference.

**UPDATE**

finally just watched this special on tv, and from the looks of it, it was a hoax.

ross is repeating the lyrics to the public enemy song while flav disses him.

and during the end credits it shows flav talking with ross and kimmel thanking them for coming and jeff is smiling.

looked pretty real at first. but when looking closer, a very good setup.
