^^They're not going to use those weapons against their enemies for a number of reasons:
1. The military has standardized weapons and those weapons aren't part of the standard.
2. Those weapons are shoddy and have a good chance of malfunctioning.
3. They may be booby trapped or their enemies may begin to booby trap their weapons.

.
.
The list goes on and on, just think for a minute.

the fact that most of our rifles, smg's, and sidearms are not made from metal may put a damper on your theory...
on top of the fact that dudes that dont bathe for months at a time and blow themselves up regularly are not likely the best at maintaining their weapons. and what use have we for rusty old ak's, 20 year old rpg's, and ammunition we cant fire? would you rather we give it back to the terrorists?
