wow, just wow... here theres adults whining because they aren't allowed to talk to their online "friends" whilst at work yet schools are always preaching to kids that they are being irresponsible and need to act like the adults. If thats how we are supposed to act I think most kids got it down pat.

easily fixed - just block them at the proxy. nobody is likely to complain.

a colleague of mine ran a program on another colleagues PC to shut down his browser when he visited certain sites like facebook. the funniest thing about it was he complained to our boss (who was in on the prank) that he was having trouble with his PC and couldn't finish his work.

Yet another reason why we should all understand the reason why Facebook (aka myspace.... blahh) should be DONE AWAY with. Exactly like how the normal person does not accept online dating. If you want to keep in touch with your friends:

CALL THEM!!! You can actually talk to them right than and there!! I know its insane!!!

But oh yeah thats right, we are still leaving messages on their "site" that they probably won't receive for another hour or so. Hurray for global brainwashing.. (ok maybe brainwashing isn't the best word, but I hope you understand what I'm talking about).

Lastly, I cannot believe that people actually do this at work, it IS bad if you're on a social networking site at work. Would it be bad if you were looking at youtube vidoes at work? OF COURSE! I respect those bosses who banned it from the workplace, people don't need the distraction.

that news reporter kicks ass. But I think for the people that waste time, they should be banned or fired, for the people that use it effectively they should be allowed. At Curtin University here in Aus, in a lot of pracs we are told to use facebook to keep in touch with our classmates.

I'm so glad that wasn't a fox news broadcast. We would have had 30mins on how democrats and left wing separatists are spawning facebook cults through online groups and messaging.

I have to admit, I've used facebook at work, not excessively but there are people I know who do. You can't fire people over something like that too, so it costs money to patch up the situation.

Facebook shouldnt be used at work but enough with anti-facebook propaganda. I'll admit it is getting abit stupid with all the gay applications they have now, but it is a useful way to keep track of old friends, and being able to share pictures with new ones

PCGAMER is right, they ban almost everything in my school, facebook, spikedhumor and even youtube.
i mean cmon, if ur at work then u should only use it on ur break, not on the job, students should be allowed to use it on their lunch time/spare time, its tax payers who pay for those computers, nobody owns them.

stupid adults control teens too much these days. no wonder you always get teenagers who rebel against their parents, because parents think they have all the control over a teen as if they were babies.

just cause u gave birth to a child it does not mean that u own them, its not like it was their choice to be born, parents need to deal with kids more than just fight with them, because eventually it will be the child who is taking care of the parent.
