I know some people from the west think they can help by sending money over, but I tell you honestly that its just as good as flushing it. I can also honestly tell you guys that the only reason South Africa isnt ravaged by civil war, is because white minority rule was upheld till about 10 years ago. Some of you might think this is meant to be a racist comment, but thats not my intention. If anyone is tired of racism its us "Safers..."

Botswana is the only other country in Africa that is stable, (Namibia was a SA province until relatively recently.) Botswana was also the only country in Africa that was friendly to "white" SA back in the day. Zimbabwe is now the latest tragedy. Any stability in Africa, (outside SA,) is due to a dictatorship/police state.

Many reading this might argue that "white SA" was also a police state, and rightly so. But please understand why some Safers think back with a certain sense of nostalgia. Yes, we now have a democracy, but we've traded it for corruption, poverty, uncontrollable crime, huge waves of illegal immigration and government policies which truly make no sense.

Anyway... Leonardo did a great job in "blood diamond," his SA accent was flawless!! :)

why do black people in africa do this? I know they do it for the diamonds, but what makes them turn on their families like that?

This is what gives black people a bad name, no offence but the majority of blacks act like this no matter where they live, but yet they blame the government, community, and white people for their own action.
for the blacks living in africa i can see why they have no choice, but the ones living in america, canada, i dont get why they act simular, you have all the oppurtunities that the africans in africa are fighting for, so why keep fighting and saying your in a "great struggle"?

This is not the nature of black people. This is the nature of human beings itself. Place any group people together and they will undoubtedly begin to hate some one in that group. It doesn’t matter is they are all black , all white, Asian or whatever. This happens all over the world and if you think blacks or Africans only do this they you are truly misinformed. We are seeing similar situations in Iraq now. It happened in Ireland, Cambodia, Germany, Thailand, France, Spain, Sudan, and many other places and will continue to happen as long as our passion for violence and destruction persist. Some of you say that it is people like this that give black people a bad name. I ask you if a video of Irish Protestants blowing up and killing Irish Catholics would have been posted would you have replied the same. Would you have said its people like that that give white people a bad name. I don’t think so. I am a black man and don’t not behave it such ways nor do I know any black people who do. I ask you not to categorize people by color, race, religion or anything else that differentiate us but to judge people individually. To lump a individual into a group without knowing them is only a 2 steps away from committing the actions that you have witnessed. They justify their actions by telling themselves “its people like this that give people like me a bad name, they are scum.” Hence they deserve to die.

My point is this: it's realistically at most 10% of any population, no matter how bad, and only at the worst of times, that acts "like this".

In fact, at various points in time, 10% of EVERY POPULATION THAT HAS EVER BEEN, has acted "like this", or worse, or some reasonable faximily thereof.

So why single out what this particular film happens to show, some black people doing it, and try to make some big overarching super-racial-truth out of it?
