bullsh*t adelaide is the murder capital of the world! some queer british documentary labelled it the worlds capital of murders but there's around 25 murders in the state each year. out of well over 1 million people.

stats are at the bottom of this article. washington DC's murder rate is 25X higher. and thats by population, not by total numbers.

I agree with you eclipse492. if you want to break it down further. All the murders in Australia each year combined is still less than any state in the US which has what 10,000 + compared to our - 500. then again if you look around the world the US is lower down the list than most people would think.(per cpita and total)

I would of said somewhere in Brazil where they have 55,000 plus murders a year but per capita apparently its columbia that has the highest rate .. South Africa,Jamaica,Russia and plenty more countries have more deaths than Australia and the US combined.
