It's a shame that Iran has the stigma it does. When I was out there, I have to tell you all I've never met such nice people. It's the government that are at fault. Just like in America. Good people, bad leaders.

I'm half-Iranian and it really is great to see Iranian comics coming into the limelight more but, I do wish some of them would do more varied material than just bombing jokes. Omid Djalili had it right when he talked about the way things were in Iran, as opposed to the way Iran is viewed over here in the West. He still did racial and terrorist related stuff but he didn't rely on it.

I want to see him return with a load of new stuff, but I don't think it'll happen. Very depressed I hear. He's got a chat-show coming out very soon, let's see how that fares.
