The metroid games always had such great soundtracks.

Yeah, I'm suprised you don't hear more people playing it. You just see Zelda and Mario all the time.

The originals were fantastic, but nothing beats the first ever gamecube rendition of Metroid. Metroid Prime was, and still is, the greatest and truest rendition of a 2d game in a 3d environment, there are so many things that could've gone wrong in the leap between 3d to 3d. The weapons were so faithful to the original, but also slipped in some new stuff without ruining it.

The same can be said for both Mario and Zelda. (Zelda is a childhood love of mine. Ocarina was just too brilliant. So atmospheric. I loved wind waker just as much, the music was stunning, especially when you sailed. Twilight was a fantastic addition to the saga but lacked a little something. Although, it's map is massive and that makes it excellent, the only reason I think it lacks is because I love Ocarina so much.

Anyway, I digress. The Metroid and Zelda games are why people keep coming back to Nintendo. The immersion, the pathos of the games. Graphics only goes so far for me. But everyone's different, there is no "best" console.

5/5 for anything and everything Nintendo

Just got the third Prime game on Wii...so much fun...would a Metroid movie really work? I mean Samus isn't the most talkative character...

I'm sorry to say I never played any of the Metroid games even though I had an N64. This series from Gametrailers did a nice job of getting us, the ones that never played it, up to date on the story and history of the game.

Now I can safely say that Nintendo really knows how to make games, and with franchises like this one, they manage to make other game developers look like "people who do realtime graphics"...

WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON A METROID MOVIE IF YOU ACQUIRED THE RIGHTS TO IT?
