lol i live in china and it is pretty bad. but what they fail to mention is how many more people live in china. china has almost 5 times as many people as the US. they also dont mention that china does the majority of production for the world and almost everything the united states has is made here.

Yeah, America gets to pay some real price for Walmart. What do you expect at those prices? Human rights? Environmental concern?

The corporatocracy (globalization) views petty little things like laws as simple annoyances to be sidestepped by moving the business elsewhere where the laws don't apply.

Scary fact: The U.S.A. is already paying a HUGE price. 1/5 of all air pollution in California is from China, as is 25% in L.A. alone, which is pretty impressive considering the millions of cars in the worlds eighth largest city.

Ok, this is seriously weird...i don't doubt that the pollution is really bad in china in some places and that some of it is affecting the US.

But about a month ago i read something about US and China Whining over each others Food Safety regulations for meat, forget who started it but it doesn't matter now. Anyways a week after reading that I read another article saying that some major US food export company (for meat) was barred to export to china, US follows in the footsteps by doing the same thing to their major firms in China (not for meat though i believe). Then China raises some Stock market issue with US etc. So for the last month or so These to countries (it seems like) have been trading blows to the face like toddlers.
I haven't really been following the news (since i play computer games all day ^^) But I can't help noticing these derogatory (well at least not friendly) news articles from both countries about each other.

I find it kinda funny in a weird way =P

EDIT: What i was trying to get at is that this seems like one of those news items. (if i didn't make that obvious enough ^^ )

This shit is such propaganda. I hope everyone can see that it just glosses over the real issues. And China has 5 times the population.

Everyone has to just go do some research on cars and meat, and then realize that those two are fucking up this planet.

China has hella bikes, Indian has hella vegans (these two need to combine. America doesn't has shit on those two countries. If America didn't want pollution, as I don't, they would stop excercising soft power and exporting their way of life that is flagrantly wasteful (Cars and McDonalds). China has a lot of meat eaters, and it's sad that it's increasing, but America could take the lead with cars.


America is paying the price??????? How about the whole world is paying the price because a couple of leaders have handed over their power to profit driven, unregulated, out of human controlled machines called corporations. I'm not saying private business is bad, I'm saying no regulation is. Free trade doesn't work in the long term, and we are feeling the effects now. Now cross ocean trading, China can't be exporting all over the world, and could spend time and resources developing clean ways to power itself.

And if it is the USA's fault because we're basically bribing them to make our shit with small cash. It kinda sucks because if we were to say "hey screw china, we'll make our own shit in our own factorys" It would be a cheap job nobody would want to do, unless our Government payed for more for such a shitty job!

But then! we would have a bunch of high school dropouts all over the country saying "hey fuck college and big expensive law firms,tuition,whatever you wierdo college people pay so god damn much for (im just a high school graduate worker) so that makes me middle class? Result: nobody would want to take the effort for higher class work if they got payed just as much sewing soccer balls for Target And Wal Mart.

No China is full of communist dicks, Japan has the smart ones.
In fact if I see 2 products next to each other ..one saying china and the other saying Japan, I'll pay extra to get the Japan Made! ( I ain't rich either)

Basically if China is saying this, then there is one way out.
Start producing stuff within the Western World.

A UK software house, Crimson Wing learnt it the hard way, moved from Malaysia to Malta(EU country) and they found out, although salaries were more expensive, that quality of workers were better, quality of Software was better, workers socially much better (English Speaking) & luckily for them Malta is going to become the Computer Center bridging the Western world to the Other worlds. ( 2 massive projects are under way - Smart City at Ricasoli and another one in Gzira).
One is Smart City by Dubai's TECOM and the other is very new Called METROPOLIS by the Mizzi Group.

China invests in Power Stations and pollutants, we the Maltese have no resource to offer & invest in , except PEOPLE!

What do you get from Malaysia or China?
FOG CITY in your country.

Keep buying Chinese Crap, they will break within a couple of months and you will look out from your all American Cottage on the lake and find out that its Raining Soot all over your lovely porch...*Oh snap the bbqs all black*.. all because you bought some crap from China.
Go Celebrate 4th of July driving through Fogs and munching on Hotdogs inside, just incase you get food poisoning from the Chinese Pollution in your country!

If You Americans want to Outsource either go for the Mediterranean Countries or the Eastern European.

I'm not sure about Eastern Europe, but the Mediterranean countries do not Belch Fuck all into our Atmosphere.
