Great game.. some of those missile shots were actually kind of impressive. Just a shame no 'real' good mods came out for it. Action Quake 2 was the greatest.

Nah Quake 2 CTF was the greatest. There has never been a game that could match the clan wars we had in that.

I've played Quake 3 for the last 7 years though, love the game, just lacks that extra hit that Quake 2 had. However, as a game to just play, I'd rather Quake 3.

You UT wannabes are clueless. UT has always tried to be Quake 3, but has failed miserably every time. Your movement sucks, your weapons wish they were as balanced as Quake's, and your general game play is so lacking you might as well uninstall it and play solitaire.

I can't understand how these people can calculate trajectories so fast. Is it just the game mechanics that make the hit area so large, have they spent so many hours that they have drilled it into their subconscious or are Quake 3 gamers all a bunch of insane physicists?

I have never been able to play Quake3 or 4 without a ping lower than 400 ms, and I was on a 1mbit connection. So when I played LAN everyone thought I was a cheater. This shit isn't that hard to do, it is all based on your ping.

BTW: Fuck UT, that shit is for girls. GET SOME!

In UT you have the ability to change the gamespeed so that first line is bullshit. Different weapons aren't supposed to have the same amount of firepower so UT is more realistic that that POS. UT is constantly making new gametypes that are often copied by other game makers and made into a game themselves such as the onslaught mode in UT. Battlefield 2142 has the exact same thing with diff vehicles weps and cg. I don't see anybody copying quake. UT has always wanted to be quake, that explains why UT keeps winning the Game of the Year title and quake never has.
