MMA Road Trip: I hit the road shooting vids with different training camps. For years before MMA became popular there was guys training and fighting. Most of those guys now no longer fight but train fighters. I want to show case these guys and let the world know what MMA was like before everyone wanted to be a cage fighter.

Yeah, maybe a bit. But I really want people to know the guys that have been with the sport before it was popular. Hard to get some people to talk about themselves. Especially someone like Jason. He is legally blind but you would never hear him bring it up or say anything about that. Some people just don't go around telling everyone how rough they have had it. In the beginning of the vids I want to let everyone for them.;) I made my second stop Friday. I think it really showcases what I am trying to do. Thanks for the comment man

Just got through editing my last stop. The audio is much better on this one. I am letting him review it before I post it. That first stop was the first time I ever tried to edit a video like that. As soon as I get the ok. I will post the next vid. Would anyone be interested in the me breaking the techniques down into smaller vids and posting them.

Hey PainFactory - nice work.

I really liked the video I just watched with - 'Eric' - I think his name was? He showed the arm bar rotation when you're being pushed up by a guy on the his back, and the arm bar from the triangle with the legs.

Both were pretty damned fascinating examples of fundamentally match winning MMA techniques.

All I know of MMA is what I've watched on Spiked - and to see some of this specific technical stuff is really pretty fascinating for a guy like me sitting in his apartment in Sydney. Especially the speed at which some of the moves are executed - they really show a lot of training to the point of subconscious fast twitch memory.

Keep it up. This is an interesting series, and the talking, or, as I call it "actual story", are really interesting and add a lot more meat to the usual play-by-play match commentary and "let's get ready to rummmmblllleeee".

Good stuff mate.

Thanks bro, I think knowing the story behind the person is important. You can download just techniques all day long, but you'll never get to know the guy showing them. People should have a change to get to know these people. They really are worth getting to know.

I just got off the phone with Jason, I was telling him about some of the comments. This is the first time he has ever did anything like this. He was worried about what people would think. I told him "Over 300 views and nobody has said anything bad yet" Thank you for the comments
