1.mostly kids trying to pay for collage do this crap stressfull job where they are treated like crap and every 2nd call is f@ck you __ ____________ _________ dont call again hu i am sure this guy prob said more then that to the telemarketer for him to go off like he is only playing his half of the story
2.I got the same thing when i was on the phones and that is a way they get rid of you on the phone
"I Can't Hear You" click well now days its "Speak no english spanish only" click...
and since they get paid by hour(low amount) + commision for what they sell ( i got paid 8.00 hour plus commision after half of my collections budget and if you dont hit that # by end of month it starts with writen to verbal to term)its a high stress job and i understand how that guy felt some days i wanted to go off on people my self
3. A simple nice "I am not intrested please take me off your call list" will do dont have to start curseing if i got on the phone and first word to you is "ASSHOLE" and then " STOP CALLING ME" i am sure you would not want to help me out much also

I can't believe people are actually making excuses for the idiot telemarketer who insulted a complete stranger over the phone *while doing his job*!

I agree with Chris Rock, who uses the word "nigger" frequently, artfully, humourously and who *also* says white folks have lost their privileges with that word because you abused it. It wasn't just the use of the word that offended polite society. It was the fact that the word came before, after, and during lynchings and messed up shit like that.

No, it's not the time of slavery or the holocaust. But there *are* still Klansmen, gaybashers, bigots and Nazis out there (and here). Maybe this telemarketer was one of them. They aren't exactly rare.

And in case you think that it's not YOUR problem and people should just "relax", just remember that someone who is stupid, racist and angry enough to go off on someone like that over the phone is prolly the kinda person who would go off on *you* if he thought you were a member of one of the groups he hates (gay, Jew, Mexican etc).

It *probably* doesn't matter to someone like that if you are or aren't. Cut him off in traffic, make him spill his drink accidentally at the bar, and suddenly you're "faggot" and you're getting bashed in the alley by this caveman.

Could happen...happens a lot, actually.
