Forgot to post the link: http://bea.st/sight/lightbulb/
Supposedly it uses less energy than a typical wired light bulb.

^ Yes, radio waves cause cancer, thats why every time you can listen to a clear radio station a new tumor pops up!

LOL if radio waves causes cancer, then the world is doomed! Especially the citties where we can find radio stations, tv stations, cellphones, bluetooth, wi-fi, wi-max, microwaves, wireles backhauling...etc

Where is the HOW TO...?

He stole Tesla's plans and added a magnet to hold the lightbulb

yeah he puts his hand over it
but if you put your hand under it it'll drop like a rock

(itll interfere with the laser range finder)
making it nothing more than a really expensive, energy consuming, very dim lamp

"wat possible use would there be for a floating light bulb?"

Whats the use of fancy chandeliers? We could just use LEDs, or flourescent lighting. There is no reason. It's just cool looking and if they could refine this technology into something brighter and cheaper, I'd definetly purchase a couple sets to make my room look more modern. That and plus it'll look pretty damn cool at a rave or something if the light could move on a magnetic rail like those mag-lift trains.

it'll use less electricity, but it's dim and flickers like a mofo

yup you guessed it Tesla did it back in the day supposedly it was free energy but had high levels of radiation which in turn gives you cancer; he also made a machine that took power out of the electromagnetic sphere and could power anything from cars building ect ect but he later realized that unfortunately you could use it as a weapon calling forth the power of magnetism to smolder the earth. Besides if we did have free energy we would have to rethink capitalism and that would probably mess with our society in a negative and positive way on the plus side it would be the right step to a Utopian society which is what the eccentric scientist wanted.

Could be utopian, and that would be sick.
But It can also lead to a Dystopia with corruption cause all the power is controlled by one group.
