Cool video, but I've been pissed at shootingeggs ever since their smoke bomb videos were proven fake - they wrapped commercial smoke bombs in duct tape. Still, 5/5 for a cool concept.

*Edit* Btw, yeah, their recipe will work, but the smoke wont be colored, dense, or nearly as much as per their video.

@ filthyrichboy15... they did? they looked legit.

I used that stuff to make the smoke bomb stuff and it produced a decent amount of smoke, not NEARLY as much as what theirs made, but again not as refined.

where did you hear that?

There's a video on metacafe debunking their somke vids - that and, it's common knowledge, that a KNO3 + Sucrose mixture burns plenty hot to incinerate any aniline dyes you might add. Commercial somke grenenades have a much slower and cooler burning compound which can thus be colored and make denser smoke. The only way to color kno3 is with the addition of other compounds that produce a color when they burn, like copper dust.


They make these videos to get director rewards on metacafe so faked it, knowing they would get more hits. The pull-ring design does work but you can see how it's a fake by how perfectly the smoke issues in 3 directions at the top, as opposed to one stream.

eum... ok, I have a cheaper way to make a glowing tomato. Go to the dollar store, get a glowstick, break it, suck the juice with a seringe and inject in tomato.
