This movie is the reason why I don't utterly detest anime. Too bad there are only a couple other movies that are as good as this one.

This film is quite heavily steeped in Japanese culture, where there's basically spirits for everything natural in life. Add to that some western influences, a dash of "Through the Looking Glass" style storytelling with a pinch of young romance, and you've got Spirited Away.

Anyone who liked this really should take a look at some of Hayao Miyazaki's other works, or Studio Ghibli's in general.

One of the films that got me in to anime it fantastic
Enthasius was right "Anyone who liked this really should take a look at some of Hayao Miyazaki's other works, or Studio Ghibli's in general. " howls moving castle is a gd one 2 watch after this 2

While I loved the entire anime, this clip showcased one of my absolute favorite parts; a great show of talent and artistic sense mixed with some excellent music.
