While I applaud this guy for a good performance, what he is doing is not actually very hard. A good piano player could probably do the same if not better since like a piano, one hand is playing the bass line while the other plays the melody.

^ yes, but you cant just tap the strings to achieve that sound. it's a complex movement of hammer/pulling off. and doing that on both hands is very tricky.
hence why most guitarist use their other hand to pick the string.

and no. a piano player could not play better on the guitar.

try playing a guitar before you state how 'easy' it is.
