I'm glad to finally see something more intelligent to atheism other than the common arrogant things people say such as "I don't believe in God so I'm super smart." I can't stand those type of people...

Great upload 5/5

Everyone says we're a Christian nation but we have people on our money that detested Christianity or had no belief in the afterlife...I could quote some of these presidents today and be labeled anti-American...I could agree with Eisenhower that God should not be in the pledge of allegiance and people would tell me to get out of the country...Everything's backward.

REAL conversation between a rational person and irrational person:

How can you deny the holy spirit?

Well, give me evidence of something supernatural.

How do you move?

Well we get energy from the sun and-

Then why don't you die when the sun goes down?

Umm..We store the energy needed in our body through eating foods which have ultimately got the energy from the sun-

Ya but how do your muscles move?

Sigh, Your body creates small amounts of electricity both in your brain, and some to move your muscles-

Then why don't you electrocute yourself in the shower?

HAHAHAH WTf??

This is a quote I have copied from another forum where I made a response to some Religious girl. Her quote ahead, following by me.

[quote]Evidence is to science as faith is to God. If there were evidence of God it would demean faith. Those that speak of evidence and God don't know much about either...but this thread isn't about God or faith or science or evidence, it's about tolerance despite disagreement, so I stand behind my statement that using the word "moronic" in reference to Christians, or any group of people that happen to have different opinion from your own, was unnecessary.[quote]

Wrong. Faith - in regards to a concept that lacks A posteriori knowledge simply SUPPLANTS it (evidence) out of a desire to WANT it to be true as it were here. Evidence does not validate or even reinforce science (a concept like god). Evidence is simply a tool under the employ of science. Now, would you say that Human’s are a tool, under the employ of god? You could say it sure but would it be logical? No it would not. By the way, evidence would not demean faith - it would undermine it. And, do you mean evidence would undermine god? Faithful do not care so much about their faith being undermined as they would about that which they have faith IN being undermined. This thread is about god or faith yet you have put forth the statement i quoted nonetheless and I am responding in kind to it.

If I were to kill every religious person who has no tolerance for anything outside of their faith BECAUSE they feel this way would i be ultimately justified for ridding the world of crazy fanaticism? Would I be more justified morally because I’m doing it to endeavor to disallow the progress of intolerance?

Intolerance is not all bad. And tolerance isn't all-good.

Example: Rational people should not tolerate people's beliefs if that belief is ultimately destructive or hinders our innate ability to think rational and doubt.

True wisdom holds that tolerance shant be universal. There are things human’s do that should NOT be tolerated. The fact that some atheists do not tolerate an assault on reason is not a bad thing but a GOOD thing.
