This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. It drove me absolutely insane. Go ahead and vote me down, but this movie was absolutely atrocious. To listen to the boring, monotone, slurping voice over and over and over again.

Lynch is like the Yankees. Either you really really hate his films, or you really really like them.

John Merrick was a genius, he made an exact scale replica of a church or something like that he saw from the window of his room.

The actual guys name was Joseph Carey Merrick not John that was a mistake in George Treves' book. Good film tho pretty sad film

his name was JOSEPH merrick, he suffered from a score of degenerative congenital conditions and a few that are to this day unique to him. his skeleton is at the natural history museum. there are few people could understand the pain he lived with every second.
