Impressive kick. Chinup -- I know you are one of the premiere MMA feeders to SH (and I thank you for that) but I have to admit, I was disappointed that you truncated the clip short of the results. Had to go elsewhere as the suspense was killing me since it looked like an illegal kick.

Anderson was DQ'd for an illegal kick to a down opponent per MMA rules which ROTR follows.

I know they used to...do they still allow kicking a downed opponent? If yes, I have to wonder if UFC plans on making any changes.

currently the rules seem to be geographically asserted .. I personally doubt that the UFC could ever enforce their Navada rules in japan ..

pride rules state: elbows are not allowed at all!! kicks knees and all strikes to a downed opponent are legal.upward kicks from the back(like silva just did)are also allowed in pride.
UFC rules state: elbows are always allowed!! kicks strikes and knees to a downed opponent are NOT allowed. but once both knees of a downed opponent are off the mat, its open season!! (remember how diego sanchez knocked out joe riggs!?)also, upward kicks from the back are also allowed in UFC..
