^^ your joking right? never played metal gear solid 3? well it was big boss who had the eye patch he was the "father" of all 3 snakes, who were cloned from him. my guess is that snake is trying to deceive people into think he is big boss, beause if u saw the tokyo game show trailer from 06 u find out that snake is still young.... if it really is snake. they might as well make the eyepatch all gadgety.

Yeah, I played MGS3 and that game was set in the 60's though and that snake was shot in the right eye.

^ugh its Solid Snake (MGS2 Snake) not Big Boss (MGS3 snake).
The only reason hes old and Otacon's still young is because Clones Age much faster as a side effect from the cloning process.

A Clone would still have his eye intact because it was an occurance that happened during Big Boss' life.

IE If you got an arm chopped off, and cloned yourself, your clone would still have both arms.

If you were born without an arm, your clones would be missing an arm too because its written in your DNA

I agree with L3b3rt. Snake is supposed to look much older in this game because he ages alot faster since he is in fact a clone.

Another reason snake is old in this game is because this is the final game that will feature Snake as the main character. This is not saying that they are making more with some one else. This is also Kojima's last game as a developer. In an earlier trailer apprantely after you beat the entire game, Snake is in a building with a wall missing and is comtemplating suicide so he can kill the entire Snake Clan Genome.
