Funny thing is, when people bash America the things they say are often true. The problem with a lot of Americans is that they get defensive and claim that these things are not true. What ever happened to "Lets fix these problems" instead of "We have no problems?" I mean, If I were an American I would say to people "Yes, you are right, we have a bad president, our government is crooked and we are trying our best to get them out. Don't let a few spoil it for the many" But instead, after being called arrogant or ignorant, the response is offensive, not shame. When I think about Canada's war-crimes I feel shame, because that is not what we are about. Most Canadians would agree. When we find out some nasty shit about or countries leaders we stand up and say FUCK NO! Adscam anyone? I think America is a great country and I have a lot of American friends who prove most of these nasty accusations wrong. I would like to point out that these same people readily admit their countries problems, with a bit of shame as well. This is what drives people to improve their country, this is what made Lincoln free the slaves and what made Kennedy against Cuba embargo. Shame at one's nation's misdeeds, not defense of them.

As an American we all know that our country is fucked up. The people on the internet are smart and we want change and we do what we can, unfortunately we are not the majority outside the internet. The country is fucked and it will get worse (and bring the rest of the world down with us, sorry you guys depend on us to much) and we are pissed off and the last thing we need is some dumb fuck, who probably has never been here, to tell us how shitty are home is.
