intel probably listens to shit like my chemical romance or fall out boy anyway and calls that music. The real greats were around from the 60's threw the 80's and a few are still playing today modern music is shit with the exception of a few bands such as tool.

Say what you want about the man. In the 'hayday' of VanHalen and in that day and time he was godlike on guitar.
I know that some out there will say "If it wasn't him then someone else would have been given the credit." but he is credited with pioneering the 'fingertap' style of playing on the guitar.
Not saying he was the first EVER to do it...he is just the one who happened to make it 'noticed'. IMO he definitely deserves his recognition in Rock History.

althor989 you obviously have no idea what you're saying. Who do you think paved the way for guys like Friedman and Becker? It was guys like Van Halen and Uli Jon Roth. Van Halen was a really awesome band in the past, this solo may not be as good, but it is still a classic video from a great guitarist, Eddie Van Halen.
