this competition was staged. they gave the monkey millions of years to evolve into the proper direction before telling the dog it would ever need to do situps

dogs face looked pretty funny upside down too :P

Those other people (Not the monkey) were doing sissy situps. Using body motion to help them sit up. And rolling onto the ground. You not even supposed to touch the ground when doing a situp.
