Its vampires, it is based off of a story called "I am legend" with the last remaining human having to fight off vampires when night falls. Its a great book!

@Shearstone I was thinking the exact same thing. In that kind of situation, why do the protagonists never just hole themselves up in a big warehouse, and cover every square inch of the inside with high intensity halogen lights, and the perimiter with UV lamps? That should keep them blood suckers away lol. Things to remember if your entire planet is infested with vampires =D

omega man was actually a retold version of i am legend, but this time they actually went for the book. oliver stone was gonna make this movie with arnold schwazenegger in the early 90s, but they canceled production
