the website is even more strange. try and navigate to the old bald guy he gives a really great monologue.
"this is living" is the new marketing campaign for the ps3 and "Home," the online 2nd life type VR world.

The whole point of the advertisement is that Sony has put too much pressure on their marketing department, who in turn created this obnoxious advertisement as a sort of cry for help (but they told Sony that it was artsy and everybody would "get it" and subsequently buy a PS3.)

Please, help the imprisoned Sony marketers escape from their cages.

Have you ever seen a Playstation advertisement, Zatch? They have ALWAYS been abstract, and will always be abstract. It NEVER had anything to do with how good or bad their sales are going.
In fact, compared to other Playstation advertisements, this one was the least abstract...

Before I say anything, I'd like to point out that I live in America, am an American, always have been.

This is a European commercial. It is more "abstract" as you would say. But just because it doesn't have the usual dumbing down idiocracy of American television, shouldn't mean that you find it a waste of time. In fact, it's a very good spot, because not only does it

1) Makes you go "WTF?" (which in turn makes you remember the PS3 subconsciously)

and

2) If playing PS3 lets you let loose like the characters in the commercial and explore your imagination, then it is in fact a great system. Of course this isn't true at the moment, but this commercial gets the point across that playing PS3 lets you let your imagination run wild! And don't we all long to be kids again :P

So really, the commercial is pretty good. Just because you have to THINK a little bit to get the message, doesn't mean it's crap. Just further proves why I hate America >.<
