Live Earth, brought to you by Best Buy, Pepsi, Tide etc. etc.

All companies with tainted back grounds. Live Earth is merely a marketing tool to sell DVD's and for bands to self promote. I am sure all proceeds aquired will be spent wisely eh?

^ February 21 1989 was when Yusuf first made the comments to a group of students in response to what he thought about the fatwa against Rushdie, and he replied that Islamic law was clear and that Rushdie must die for defaming the prophet.

He defended himself stating that he was only explaining his understanding of Islamic law, and not calling for Rushdie's death himself.

screecwe's post is taken from May of that year when he was interviewed on 'Hypotheticals'.

HE's probably all and all a good guy, peace advocate and all, but religion can make even the nicest people a little blood thirsty.

It is easy to judge. But just imagine if another Christian insults Jesus, Mary or other religions. Don't you feel like condemning the person?? If its a Muslim, then it is blood thirsty? It is our religion, our faith. Of course we have to uphold. Those who insults should be punished, for they have the power to influence others and taint the very idea of our faith and beliefs.
Cat Steven is a person honoring his faith and of course stood by it.
Going to another country and shooting up INNOCENT CIVILIANS are by no means BLOODTHIRSTY then...???? Pray tell me the difference!!!!!
