You too, Cadmius? I think many of us have suffered similar experiences, and not just in theatre. In just about every job I've had, I've had to endure these solemn sermons from "gurus" who seem completely oblivious to the fact that their "wisdom" is obvious and trite.

Sir Ian does a brilliant job portraying the vapid, almost insane cluelessness. He's probably had these experiences too, no doubt.

And the fact that he's an old queen just makes him that much more fabulous in my eyes. I'd be his boy-toy any day. And all the haters out there can go to hell...and be buggered by The Devil (played by Sir Ian)...
