This was actually the 13th of May 2000 in a town called Enschede in the Netherlands.

An employee in a fireworks factory accidently started a fire wich resulted in this disaster.

Around 400 houses were blown away by the explosion and shockwave, resulting in €600 million/ $700 million of damage, 22 people were killed and 947 were (heavily)injured.
