Too bad average Americans don't have the intelligence to process the information. Put simply, paying one guy 90k a year to do something a soldier who makes 30k a year and is already trained for the job is not cost effective.

*Desertion during wartime can earn a death sentence for enlisted personel. Regardless of their thoughts on what is being done, they signed the contract and have to expect to be put in military jail for life or to be executed. It would take the entire armed forces to walk away at the same time. In that case we could end up w/ a state similar to Pakistan or any other country where some military leader took authority over the president(or king) on the issue of how to lead the armed forces. That is not what you want to happen.

Either we wait for an outside military force to come in and help us depose our elected leaders like we have done so many times in the past in other countries, or we all stop going to work and stop paying taxes to allow the rich people to fall flat on their asses. Of course, as soon as everyone does that, they'll bring in all the illegal aliens into our system to allow them to replace all the dissenting Americans.

If you want change, go out and vote. Go out and make sure all your family members who can vote. Get all your friends and coworkers to vote. If you own a business and have employees, encourage them to vote when elections come up.

Speak up somewhere other than on the internet in a place like this. Stop buying products from companies that support candidates and proposals that aren't in your best interest. Tell your church you won't donate funds to the church as long as it acts politically on behalf of it's ideology.

There's lots of things people can do, but it's a whole lot easier to tell others that it's their job to fix the problem.

like i said in another video, it takes the army to stand up for things to change, not people in america, it takes the people who are fighting in the war to stop fighting to make a difference. if he believed it was wrong, why did he continue doing it? if so many people thought it was wrong why arent they stopping?

More talk, no public action. All bark no bite.

Welcome to America. Land of fucking pussies that never stand up to anything because they are too afraid to lose the lap of exhorbitant luxuries we all have.

We are a nation of lies and assholes. Period.

Yeah, I don't believe at all that that guy was a vet. There's a very slim chance that if he were stationed in Iraq in '03 that he would have been able to quit his duty and come home as a "Vet." To be considered a vet I'm sure you have to complete the contract, which would be a surprising luxury for someone right now considering we are already increasing the number in Iraq.

OK, I was overseas in 04 to. Our cooks got replaced with cheap labor. So what if the cooks were doing soldier things. It’s cheaper for the army to pay $500 a month (third world country pay) a month than a trained soldier when there was already a shortage of men.
If what he saw the U.S. do to the Iraq people was that bad, why didn’t he film it, document it, or report it? I.G. was out there. I know, my unit was under investigation (not for mistreatment just to clarify). Also, what war has not been violent? Brutal? Ask your history teacher what normally happens after most wars. The soldiers go and pillage, destroy buildings, kill for fun, capture slaves, and rape the women. Yet the U.S. and other invading armies did not do that (ok we did pillage a little, but kept the main things in Iraq).
The tie in with big money and oil? Now I could argue both side that were there for oil, or that were not there for oil. Really, I don’t care. But I have to point this out – how much oil has came from Iraq since we started? If we when for the oil, why after over 5 years have we not even started major oil projects? If we have, can someone tell me about it, and sight your source so I can do some reading on it. Im not saying that it wasn’t our original reason. But if it was, let’s start pumping it to help lower our prices.
He says he was FA, and blew up the depleted uranium. I don’t know how true that is since that’s DOD's job. I’ve waited over 6 hrs for them several times, and I would be pissed off if one of my FA guys could come over and blow the round for us and I waited that long in the heat.

^zrath - what you don't realize is that cheap labor that replaced your cooks were hired by another company. That company gets paid 3x as much for that job. The worker sees only 1/18th of that amount.

I worked for aerospace. Companies who are qualified to bid go online and look at the list posted. Decide which ones they want to go for and they go shop around for the cheapest way to make it. My favorite was some stupid nothing little part we found a company to make them for $7. We sold them to the gov't for $115. All we had to do was put the certification paperwork together, and call the delivery truck. Parts and jobs can get stepped on by 15 middlemen before it gets to the government. That's why when you say outsourcing is ok because they do it cheaper, it has to actually work like that for that to be true.

Hey, think about this as to why we are in Iraq... what's next to Iraq? Iran. And on the other side of Iran? Afghanistan. South of them? Our friends in Pakistan. We are surrounding those Iranian bastards. THAT is why we are in Iraq.
