The Airless Wheel - The Tweel

Michelin has invented a new aireless tire, called the Tweel, which could become the new standard for all vehicles including wheelchairs, automobiles, and even construction vehicles.

Wonder how this is going to work on cars, they showed low speed transportation, how about the high speed.

I bet F1, Nascar, and other racing venues would go nuts over this wheel, no more needing to change tires.

Might want to turn up the volume dumbass. It says the Tweel can protect against BLASTS when used on military vehicles.

Tackleho- It's supposed to be broken, they are showing how it continues to work even tho its broken.

Heero16854-Nascar doesn't change tires because they run out of air, they change tires because they run out of tread (and hence grip). Same with all other racing venues.

Personally i wanna see this coupled to a sports car with the bose active suspension system. What they didn't mention here is the the most remarkable property of the tweel. Lateral stiffness (normally adjusted with stiffer sidewalls + higher air pressure) and ride comfort (normally adjusted with softer sidewalls or lower airpressure) can be adjusted independantly on tweel tires. :D fun stuff.
