Nah, they redirected it a few years ago to a treatment plant. Still, it's pretty nasty swamp water.

I know a person who jumped into the Venice canals to help someone who was drowning out and believe me IT IS NOT NICE. He said there was broken glass and metal and stuff to prick you at the bottom and that he got sick from just being in the water as well...
