I would agree that some police do believe they have power over everyone else and act like dick heads.. but imagine if there where no police.. We'd be over run with child molesters and thieves and sex offenders... You should be grateful that there are police..

^I really don't think so. If there was no police and no gun control you wouldn't have any thieves, rapists or child molesters cause they would get shot the moment somebody found out. Imagine a little punk trying to rob an old lady and then she pulls out a 9mm. I'd doubt there'd even be any child molesters because they would be killed within days of being discovered.
That cop tho was pretty stupid for getting pissed at some guy who quietly and respectfully asked whether the police officer entered through the closed door.

I think the American police have to be the most aggressive and unprofessional I've ever seen in the world. (Not the worst. That's China). It's as though they're all wannabe soldiers fighting the good fight on some far-flung battlefield. Calm down. Your job is to protect and serve the people, who pay your taxes.

Anyone that thinks that having no police will stop crime from happening is a complete retard. (yes, I am referring to you PCGamer91)...
There is no need for the police to act like dickheads, but without the law and order, you will have vendetta situations like northern Italy. That may seem cool in the movies, but you dont want to be in one of them.
Police is necessary so that people can be held responsible for their own actions by an indepent organ that is governed by society as a whole. And if you really think that one bad cop (or several for that matter) means that the justice system is unneccessary, you're just dumb.
And that cop was being a dick...

My grandfather was a cop and he was one of the coolest guys around. my father was also a prison guard, and the way some jackasses are to the guards they deserve to get fucked up.

Anyway, most cop do a decent job, i guess, but having a badge means enforcing the law not being above it, and pissed or not there are still civil liberties.

There are a lot of cops who will do anything and insult you to try to get what they want. Which if there is a party is inside your house. Legally they can not step inside unless they see illegal activities or you tell them they may enter. I had a horrable excuse for a cop show up trying to bust a party at my house. I was already sober pissed off and had a red bull in me. He didn't get in my house because I would not allow him. And he only tried about 100 times. I was too busy insulting him as he asked me if I thought he was stupid and I proceeded to ask who said he was stupid and ask if he had self esteem problems. Learn to deal with cops and don't let them inside you morons. And bullshit on that control freak only giving out warnings. He will give everyone a ticket just because he can. A lot of cops just want the power and don't do it to help. And trust me you can tell the difference. If you stop being a immature brat and really know what the cop can and can't do and when he shows up at your door just tell him to please get off your property. He by law has to unless he sees illegal activities. (Oh, Did I mention I was wearing a t-shirt saying "Go Fuck Yourself I'm an asshole and I approve of this message" while talking to said piggy?)
