FFVIII had a good music score, but nothing that really stands out like in VII or IX. 4/5.

the card game in ff8 was my favorite side game in all the ff's but the story was very slow starting and drawing magic is really really annoying. I used to love ff8, but i went back and played it again last month, its not that great. I think it has a better reputation than it deserves because it came out after ff7 which is possibly the greatest video game ever made. Everyone was in love with the final fantasy series after 7 and that made people like 8 more because everyone was swooning over anything final fantasy at the time (myself included). its still a pretty good game though, just not that great.

I love it. One of the most soothing themes in Final Fantasy. The name suites it just perfect - it fits so well as a backdrop to a brilliant love story. Great game, but one that shouldn't have to be compared to other FF's as being better or worse. It just stands alone on its own.

I know that I'm gonna be shot down but, what is it with this Final Fantasy bruhaha? When is it gonna Finally End? It seemed that you have Star Trek groupies one one side & the Final Fantasy groupies on the other. Am I the only one who feels that this Final Fantasy series has been going on long enough?

ff8 and ff7 came out when i was maybe 11 or 13 and no final fantasy yet has made me fall in love so much. i would buy a ps3 if they remade 7 or 8

ffvii owns all ff games
vi is probably the second best one ever made, 8 is ok, 9 is not too bad, 10 is pretty huge , 10-2 was a joke, 11 is so ff could make money off of every console , 12 is too much like a dark cloud kinda thing, they need to go back to how they used to make their games

ff8- decent but incomparible to ff7
ff9- unadventurous bringing nothing new to the table, good nonetheless.
ff10- one of the most overrated ff games/game of all time
ff10-2- ironically better than ten
ff11- decent mmorpg
ff12- breath of fresh air

FF7 had everything there was good in a RPG. Good story, great gfx (at the time) get character development, you fell in love with almost (if not all) of its characters. FF8 also had a good story in my opinion but its hard to out do yourself after putting a great game out like FF7 it seems they tried a little too hard with the characters in FF8 and they were a little hardert to love, but hey, till this day my favorite part in FF8 is when the two gardens battle and you gotta run around helping everyone, then you gotta order everyone into battle positions and depending on how you do it effects your SeeD rank. Always loved that part.
